The Accumulated Campaign Service Medal (ACSM) was instituted in January 1994 and is awarded for “long service on campaign”. It recognises repeat operational service. Originally it required 1080 days of cumulative campaign service. After 1 July 2011, the service requirement was reduced to 720 days.
